Food is one of the three main pillars of health in Ayurveda and plays a vital role in our overall health and vitality. Unfortunately, we are inundated with mixed messages from the media on what to eat with the next new popularized fad diet or superfood popping up every few months. Instead of relying on our intuition and our body’s inner wisdom we are relying on others to dictate our food choices.

Ayurveda takes a completely different approach to diet. Rather thinking of food as merely a means to satiate our hunger, or satisfy our cravings, we approach each individual ingredient with curiosity. Ayurveda takes many factors into account including the individual’s constitution, strength of digestion and current imbalances.

Given our modern, fast paced lifestyles, finding the time to nourish our bodies with high quality, fresh, seasonal food can be challenging.

Using my 20 plus years of experience as a Chef, I help to support clients in rediscovering and reconnecting to food as a source of nourishment. Food should not only make you feel great, but should taste delicious and be visually appealing without sacrificing taste or satisfaction.
